WILDCAT VOLUNTEER BANK
Dear Families and Friends of Arundel Middle Students:
- Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year here at AMS! Whether you are new to our school or a returning parent, AMS has a lot to offer our students and parents alike. There are many clubs and after school activities as well as various volunteer opportunities throughout the course of the school year.
- We will be continuing our “Wildcat Volunteer Bank” which will contain the names, email addresses and phone numbers of you, the parents and friends of our students. You DO NOT have to commit to any particular volunteer need at this time, you simply give us your name, email address and phone number and when the teachers let us know that they are in need of parents/volunteers or the PTA has an upcoming event, we will simply send out a mass email (bcc) to the names we have entered into our volunteer database. If you are available and would like to volunteer for that particular event, you simply respond to the email and we in turn contact you. It is that simple!!
- We realize that it is hard to foresee what your schedule may be now for Beautification Day or the 8th grade dance, etc. This way, when the time comes, you have the freedom to choose if you wish to participate.
- Outlined below is a partial listing of volunteer needs that the teachers have given us as well as the events that the PTA will sponsor for this year along with a brief explanation of the volunteer opportunity. This will give you an idea of the wants and needs at AMS.
- Also, please check our website frequently for updates relative to the school and PTA happenings. On this site you will also find helpful links you can visit that can also benefit not only our school but you and your child as well.
- We hope that you will join the PTA this year, by doing so you are not committing yourself to anything other than showing your support for all that we do—which is supporting all of the students here at AMS.
Thank you in advance and we look forward to seeing you around AMS this year!! If you have any questions, or if you would like to add you name now, please send an email to volunteers@amspta.org
