The main function of the PTA is to advocate for our children. Now is the time to begin.

Upon reviewing the Board of Education 2008 Capital Budget and Six Year Plan, Arundel Middle School is not on this list. Our school is not going to be looked at for any type of upgrade, modernization, renovations or feasibility study until we, the parents and students, speak up and tell Dr. Maxwell and the Board of Education what we need.

Our school has had no upgrades, modernization or renovations since the first students walked through the doors in 1964. Until a few weeks ago, we did not even have lights in the parking lots. Why did it take 41 years to get lights in the parking lots? Do we have to wait another 41 years for other necessities, like central air conditioning?

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I can be reached via email at president@amspta.org or via cell phone at 443-677-4926.

Thank you for your support.
